Elderly and Disabled Housing Application-Waiting List is Currently CLOSED
The Coordinator, Elderly Services assists the residents of NBHA’s 6 Elderly/ADA properties. The objective is to assist residents obtain information on successfully aging in place, supportive services and to be a bridge to the community to meet residents holistic needs.

It is the belief of the New Britain Housing Authority that our aging and disabled residents should be supported to age in place as long as safely possible. Our goal is to assist residents by connecting them to supportive services, provide opportunities for social engagement and serve as a bridge to wellness, nutrition, public benefit, recreational, behavioral and volunteer engagement activities.

Evelyn Baez, Coordinator of Elderly Services, meets with residents upon admission and is available to help residents acclimate to their new setting, answer questions and assist with their transition. Evelyn also provides a variety of resident centered activities, including overseeing the Housing Authority’s two on-site food pantries.
